Shamrock reported that manufacturer scheduling is pending for archival‑roof work and that Westmoreland EMS work is progressing on grading and site utility installation, with value‑engineering continuing for the site fire pump. He said Oakgrove Fire Department work is awaiting rock for mutual access and that septic quotes are being obtained for a remote EMS station after project field lines required rerouting.
Shamrock said the Oak Hill elevated tank’s installation should occur within the next month or two and that the Oak Hill and Mason water line tie‑ins will be completed once the elevated tank is set. He handed the committee a timeline and a breakdown of cost increases for Westmoreland projects and summarized where additional funds were allocated compared with earlier estimates.
Committee members asked for clarifications on the courthouse courtroom buildout and the health department remodel; Shamrock said architectural contract review was underway and that the health department abatement was expected to begin in June. Commissioners pressed about budget availability and whether approved architectural funds remained in draft budgets; staff discussed budget workshop outcomes and noted unresolved questions about whether previously approved appropriations would remain in the final budget.
Shamrock also said the county is awaiting a memo from the state on a broadband grant before proceeding with that component. He noted the Hollows relocation and suite breakdown work will finish and move to construction in the coming weeks. No formal county appropriations were made at the meeting; the committee asked staff to return with any required procurement, timeline and budget documents in the next reporting cycle.
