Alders voted to adopt an amendment by substitution that replaces earlier, erroneous fee entries with a corrected list of permits, licenses and fees intended in the mayor’s proposed budget.

Chair Adam Marshon and committee members noted that staff prepared a single, landscape sheet listing the intended fee changes. Marshon said the sheet “is the entire list of permits, licenses, and fees that are new or changed in the mayor's proposal budget,” and the substitution removes the mistaken increases that had caused confusion during earlier budget workshops.

The amendment by substitution passed on a voice vote; Marshon instructed staff to incorporate the corrected schedule into the draft budget for second reading.

This action was procedural; Alders described it as corrective language to align the printed budget materials with the mayor’s intent.
