City staff told the commission that the Windcrest City Council approved a contract for a comprehensive master plan and accompanying branding and wayfinding work with a consultant identified as MRV Group. The city secretary said the project is expected to span 12 to 14 months and will include economic development planning and elements relevant to parks and recreation.

"It's gonna be anywhere between a 12 to 14 month project," the city secretary said, adding the contract will include master-plan elements and some services to research potential grants. Staff said consultants will interview stakeholders, including boards and commission members, as part of the planning process.

Commissioners were told the project will pull existing parks information into the plan and likely coordinate with the Parks and Recreation Commission for stakeholder interviews and follow-up input. The city will notify boards and commissions when the consultant schedules one-on-one stakeholder interviews.
