The Committee on Council approved four mayoral and council communications recommending appointments to Atlanta boards and an officer position.
The committee unanimously approved the following appointments after staff said each nomination had favorable recommendations from the committee of purview:
- Angenetta Gordon Estes to serve a three-year term on the Atlanta Citizens Review Board (Communication 25C0061, submitted by Linden Walker, deputy director of Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda).
- David Simpkins to serve a four-year term on the Atlanta–Fulton County Recreation Authority (Communication 25C0069, submitted by Mayor Andre Dickens).
- Robin Craig to serve a four-year term on the City of Atlanta Audit Committee (Communication 25C0070, submitted by Council President Doug Shipman).
- Jaina Edmonson Cooper, Esquire, to serve a two-year term as the contract compliance hearing officer for the City of Atlanta (Communication 25C0071, submitted by Mayor Andre Dickens).
Ishae Collins moved to approve items 1 through 4; the motion was seconded by Vice Chair Liliana Batiari. The voice vote recorded 7 yays, 0 nays and the items were approved.
