Commission votes to send letter to congressional delegation urging protection of municipal bond tax benefits

Blake said he wanted to thank Lori for helping draft the letter and explained the letter warns about the potential effects on municipal financing if federal rules change. He told commissioners one letter will go to U.S. Rep. Charles Fleischmann and another to the two Tennessee U.S. senators. The clerk called the roll; the motion carried 12 in favor, none opposed, with two absent.
The motion was procedural and did not include additional directives or funding commitments.
