Council okays joint negotiation authority for regional street-lighting contract

"This is just a renewal of an effort that took place about 10 years ago," he told council members, noting the existing contract does not expire until the end of the year but that member communities are passing enabling legislation now to let MVCC negotiate on their behalf.
