The City’s engineering director told the Transportation, Connectivity and Stormwater committee that construction work on Wise Road began with the installation of a left-turn lane and is expected to wrap up in July. During construction, southbound traffic on State Route 241 in the work area will be restricted where the left-turn lane is installed; local access will be maintained.
The director also said resurfacing work on Massillon Road (Route 241) will begin in July and continue for much of the year. Committee members were briefed that sections of 241 will be resurfaced with work lasting over several months.
Separately, the Intergovernmental and Utilities committee reported two resolutions establishing street-lighting districts for Spring Hill Villas and Spring Hill Phase 6; both items have public hearings scheduled for the June 24 council meeting. The committees adjourned after the updates and no further action was taken at the May 27 meeting on these items.
