At the ceremony, district and building administrators — including board of education members on stage — certified that the class had completed the course of study prescribed by the state and the board.
The school also announced logistical details for families: the event was photographed and recorded, photos would be available in about seven to 10 days on SmugMug, and a recording would be posted later on the district’s YouTube channel. Principal Bridal Rico also called for audience etiquette to ensure every graduate’s name could be heard.
Principal Bridal Rico and members of the board offered farewell recognition to several staff members, including physical education teacher and baseball coach Dave Miller and assistant principal Anthony Swope. The remarks thanked staff and families for supporting the graduates and concluded with the formal presentation of the class for diplomas.
