Tipp City Council approved a resolution on June 2 finding the council had reviewed the submissions to be made to the Miami County budget commission for fiscal year 2026 and authorizing those submissions under the tax-budget process outlined in the Ohio Revised Code.
City staff member Mack told council the tax budget summarizes current fund balances, anticipated revenues and expenditures, and ending fund balances for next year; the submission is a statutory requirement for the county tax-budget process. Mack specifically referenced Ohio Revised Code section 5705.281 as the statute governing the alternative tax document submission.
The resolution was sponsored and seconded on the floor with no public comment and passed by roll call as Resolution 16 25.
Ending: Staff will submit the tax-budget materials to the Miami County budget commission as required by state statute.
