Summary
Trustees approved a $114,200 Civic Center fire-alarm upgrade contract and authorized an increase to Vantage Productions’ sound-and-light contract for the 2025 Taste of Orland Park to $58,848 (including contingency).
The Village of Orland Park Board of Trustees approved several municipal contracts: a Civic Center fire-alarm system upgrade with Davcom Electric Inc. and an amendment to the sound-and-light services contract for the Taste of Orland Park.
Trustee Joseph Malani moved to participate in the joint-purchasing cooperative OMNIA Partners and award a contract to Davcom Electric Inc. for the Civic Center fire-alarm upgrade based on Proposal No. 25-167-17 (April 12, 2025) for $109,200 plus a $5,000 contingency for a total not-to-exceed contract price of $114,200. The motion, which authorizes the village manager to execute contracts subject to attorney review and to approve change orders within the authorized amount, passed on roll call.
Separately, the board approved change order No. 2 and Contract Addendum A to the existing agreement with Soundworks d/b/a Vantage Productions Group of Lemont for sound and lighting services for the 2025 Taste of Orland Park. The amendment increases the equipment and rental portion by $21,300 to $53,848 plus a $5,000 contingency, for a new total not-to-exceed contract amount of $58,848.
Both votes were recorded by roll call with trustees indicating support. Trustees said these contract adjustments are intended to ensure safety and production quality for village facilities and events.
