The Morgan County Drainage Board received an operational update on the Solder Ditch repair project at its June 2 meeting. Staff said the county held a pre-construction meeting with the chosen contractor, the contractor has ordered the pipes and will give two weeks' notice before road closures.
"He seems to think it's still gonna take around around a month to do. We don't hopefully it won't take that long but we'll see," a staff member said, adding the contractor told staff he could complete the work by the July 31 deadline.
Board members confirmed the county will coordinate road-closure notices with the city once the contractor gives a start date. No formal action or vote was taken on the Solder Ditch update; the item served as an informational briefing on schedule and traffic coordination.
