Racine Unified staff present 2.95% salary-schedule increases for FY26; board to vote in June

District staff presented proposed salary schedules for the 2025–26 school year that reflect the board-approved 2.95 percent wage increase and provided estimated budget impacts by employee group.
The presenter said the estimated cost to implement a 2.95 percent increase on the teacher salary schedule is about $3,030,000; implementing the increase for educational assistants is estimated at $386,095; and for other employee groups governed by the district salary structure the estimate is $937,496. If approved, the schedules would take effect July 1, 2025.
"The salaries identified in the schedules take into account the 2.95 percent wage increase that the board approved last month for FY26," the presenter said. The staff recommended the board vote on the schedules at the upcoming business meeting.
Board members did not take action at the work session; the matter was placed on the business meeting agenda for formal approval.
