El Segundo outlines summer classes, concerts, camps and beach shuttle schedule

El Segundo city media published a package of summer programs and event details including recreation classes, concerts, library reading programs, camps and a seasonal beach shuttle.
The city said summer classes start in June and July and run through August and include fitness, art and dance; registration is open to residents and nonresidents via esrec.org. Hilltop and Wilburn pool schedules and admissions were announced separately.
The seasonal beach shuttle will run Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from June 16 through Aug. 23; rides are free with a current recreation ID. The city published pool-hour and lesson schedules and admission costs elsewhere in the release.
The city’s Fourth of July celebration will include daytime contests, food and games and an evening fireworks show; wristbands for the evening portion are available June 2 through July 3 at the clubhouse, checkout building and Joslyn Center. El Segundo residents may receive up to four free wristbands per adult with a current recreation ID; the announcement included a phone number for more information.
Summer concerts in the park were listed for June 15, June 20, July 13, July 20, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24 beginning at 4:30 p.m. The public library’s summer reading runs June 17 through Aug. 9 for adults and teens, and special events for kids and teens were listed with dates and times in the city release. The city also promoted monthly day-tripper outings for adults and a free mini-golf Father’s Day pop-up on June 15.
