Lowest Bid $7.26M for South Cloverdale–Confer Intersection; Construction to Start This Summer

Susan Eugenis, Cowlitz County engineer, told the Board of Commissioners that the county received six bids for the South Cloverdale–Confer intersection improvement project and that the lowest responsible bidder was Jefferies Construction LLC at $7,256,372.86.
Eugenis said the bid was more than $1 million below the engineer’s estimate and that approximately $510,000 of the total is for a City of Kalama waterline relocation. She said the roadwork portion therefore drops to about $6,746,127.
