The Berkeley County Planning Commission on a unanimous voice vote approved the final plat for Communities of Burwell Phase 10, a 27‑lot single‑family subdivision in the Falling Waters District, contingent on the county receiving a $672,000 surety and the developer agreement.
Staff told the commission the project (file no. 2305-156) would create 27 single‑family lots on 9.01 acres on Knight Town Road, about 1 mile west of Weaver Lane, and would be served by public water and sewer. County staff recommended approval, saying the final plat meets the requirements of the subdivision ordinance.
Lynch Christian, identified in the meeting as the applicant representative, said he was representing Burwell Properties LLC. Planning Commission members asked no substantive questions during the public hearing and the commission closed the hearing before accepting staff recommendation. Planning Commission member Mister Gant moved to accept the staff recommendation; Planning Commission member Mister Goff seconded the motion. The chair called for the ayes and the motion carried.
The approval is contingent on receipt of the $672,000 surety; staff said the plat will be released upon receipt of the surety and the developer agreement. No waivers or exceptions were recorded in the staff report presented to the commission.
