Conway approves grant agreement to convert streetlights to LEDs through EPA-funded program

The Conway City Council on May 27 approved a resolution to accept and enter into a grant agreement for a Climate Pollution Reduction Grant that will support converting Conway’s street lights to LED.
Community development staff and Conway Corporation representatives described the award as an EPA-funded grant won through MetroPlan. "This grant will help us convert the rest of the street lights here in Conway to LED lights," a staff presenter told the council, noting Conway Corporation assisted with the application. Conway Corp representatives attended the meeting.

City staff said Conway Corp did the bulk of the application work; council voted 8–0 to adopt the resolution so the city could sign contracts and proceed with the project. The mayor and council thanked Conway Corp staff for their work on the application.
