Carroll said she has lived at 30 Eighth Street and described arrangements with neighbors and a longtime handyman who was helping move a trailer. She told the council she received a notice citing AMC 19.48.020 and asked that the city grant an extension until the next city meeting so the trailer can be removed without her incurring fines. "I would like that to be, for till the next city meeting. If I could have that extension with the understanding that they will be removed on that day," Carroll said.
Mayor Miller and staff advised Carroll to submit a formal request either through the mayor’s office or through code enforcement (Planning Director John Coleman’s office). The mayor said staff would accept the request and that code enforcement or the mayor’s office would process it; no formal council action was taken during the meeting.
Carroll’s comment was recorded in the public‑comment segment and staff follow‑up was offered at the meeting.
