Council schedules public hearing on Stonehaven PID Improvement Area 3 assessments

The Seagoville City Council voted to set a public hearing for June 16 to consider levying assessments for Improvement Area 3 of the Stonehaven Public Improvement District (PID).
Jamie Schulte of P3 Works, the city’s PID administrator, told the council that Improvement Area 3 “will be the final improvement area of this public improvement district.” Schulte said the PID originated in September 2021 and noted prior assessment levies for Improvement Area 1 in July 2023 and Improvement Area 2 in September 2024.
Schulte described the preliminary service and assessment plan included with the resolution and summarized the scale of the proposed levy: “It’s 226 lots, about $6,000,000 in assessments, very similar to the other two.” Schulte emphasized the council was not approving the levy on the night of the meeting but only setting the public hearing where the council will consider the ordinance to levy assessments.
Council members moved and seconded the resolution to call the hearing; the motion passed with no opposition recorded. The public hearing and the ordinance consideration on June 16 will be the next formal steps before levying assessments.
