The Village Board accepted a $50,000 Vibrant Spaces grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation on Tuesday to help fund a new band shell at Klipstein Park.
Aaron (presenter) said the grant application was submitted late in 2024 and matching funds for the band shell are secured through donations and the overall project budget: “The village was notified of an award of a $50,000 grant, to be put towards the new Klipstein Park band shell,” he said.
Trustees praised the grant win and approved acceptance by voice vote. The grant was not budgeted in 2024 but staff said they have the match and the project will proceed as planned.
Staff will incorporate the grant into the project funding and move forward with design and construction steps per the park plan.
