San Bernardino County superintendent spotlights growth of student esports program

San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools Ted Alejandre said the third annual Esports Symposium and tournament brought together students from across the county to showcase skills and highlight postsecondary opportunities.

Alejandre said the event included awards for the 2024-25 season, professional shout casting and an industry presence, and he called esports an avenue for scholarships and expanded programs in schools. "Esports continues to create meaningful opportunities for our students to stay engaged and plan for future success," Alejandre said.
