New London committee to apply for ECWRPC SPARK planning assistance

Ginger said the program's July 3 application deadline and encouraged community members to complete surveys that support the city's comprehensive outdoor plan. Committee members discussed the one-day event format, which assembles community input in the morning and produces conceptual designs by the afternoon, and asked staff to apply and coordinate community participation if awarded.
The committee views SPARK as a no-cost next step before pursuing paid architectural services; staff will prepare and submit the application and, if selected, plan a day-long charrette with community stakeholders and technical professionals.
