One board member asked whether the town would ban small loose produce bags and whether compostable and reusable options would satisfy the new rules; staff noted that the revised language requires that product bags offered by retailers be either recyclable paper bags, reusable product bags, or compostable plastic bags if offered.
After discussion, the Select Board approved Article 19 as amended; the transcript records members saying “Aye” and the chair recording an abstention on that item.
