At a May Smyrna Town Council workshop, staff presented a plan-of-services resolution and an annexation ordinance (second reading) for a 6.04‑acre parcel on Lee Road requested by Weekly Homes LLC.
Planning staff told the council the plan of services documents the municipal services the town would provide if the property were annexed; staff said the town would provide all services except water, which would remain with Consolidated Utility District. The planning commission held a public hearing on the plan of services and recommended approval.
Staff said the parcel is consistent with the town’s land-use plan and noted surrounding zoning includes RM in the county and PRD in the town. The property was described as the remaining piece of Hidden Springs development not annexed previously; the owner said they planned to build a house and requested annexation to connect to Smyrna sewer.
Councilmembers asked clarifying questions about whether Lee Road improvements would front the annexation and confirmed the sewer connection would be routed through the adjacent development’s system.
The transcript records discussion and the presentation at second reading; no final roll-call vote is recorded in the workshop transcript.
