Hamilton County staff presented a resolution to amend the design contract with Taker Mahl LLC (formerly Artec Design Group Inc.) to include reimbursable expenses for the new forensic center, not to exceed $22,500.

"This contract was approved last April for design of the forensic center, and there was no reimbursables listed in that contract. It was an oversight by all of us," said Mister Lehman, a county staff member. He said the county's ECD office is working with the state on reimbursement and noticed the omission; adding reimbursables to the contract will allow those expenses to be paid and later reimbursed by the state.

The clerk read the resolution authorizing the county mayor to increase the design contract to include the reimbursables. The excerpted transcript does not include a vote or final action on the amendment.
