Superintendent announces July switch to Synergy student information system and ParentVUE for families

Superintendent Dr. Brent Saltzman told the Everett Public Schools board on May 27 that the district will transition to a new student information system called Synergy in July and will roll out ParentVUE and StudentVUE for family and student access.
"It will track such things as student enrollment, class assignments, academic records as well as medical records," Dr. Saltzman said, describing Synergy as the new operational backbone. He told the board staff training has begun and that the district will provide Parent University materials and a video demonstrating ParentVUE features.
District staff said ParentVUE will replace the Home Access Center; parents will receive activation codes over the summer and may use mobile or desktop apps to view real-time attendance, grades, schedules, course history and automated email notifications about low scores or attendance incidents. StudentVUE will give students similar access. Online enrollment for new students will also be integrated in the same platform.
Dr. Saltzman emphasized the aim of simplifying and modernizing the district’s processes and said the change should free staff time to focus on students. No board vote was required for the technology transition during the May 27 meeting.
