Nikki Thompson, procurement analyst for the Glynn County Board of Commissioners, opened bids for RFP 25-049, the county’s annual contract for public-safety and emergency vehicle equipment and upfitting services, and announced that two firms submitted responses.
Thompson told attendees that “the board of commissioner reserves the right to waive technicalities and make an award in the best interest of Glynn County,” and that “the lowest responsive bid may not be the recommended awardee when the bid review process is complete.”
The two responses recorded at the public bid opening were from Dana Safety Supply Incorporated of Sugar Hill, Georgia, and ProLogic ITS LLC of Acworth, Georgia. Thompson said she and the project manager will review submitted paperwork “for accuracy and completion.”
A bid tabulation will be posted on the county website as soon as it is available, and the procurement analyst encouraged vendors to sign up for bid alerts. Thompson stated that once staff completes its review, “the recommended award will be presented to the finance committee and then to the full board of commissioners at their next scheduled monthly meeting.”
No award was made at the bid opening. The event was announced as a public proceeding streamed on the county’s channel; the procurement analyst provided a contact email in the record for questions as spoken in the meeting.
