Sunbury Planning and Zoning approves final plat for Eagle Creek Phase 2

The City of Sunbury Planning and Zoning Commission approved the final plat for Eagle Creek Phase 2 at its May 29, 2025 meeting, voting 5-0 despite the applicant’s absence.
Staff told the commission the action was a phasing renumbering rather than a design change: "No changes at all in terms of where lots are located, where the roads are located. Simply just reordering what phasing they're doing here," a staff member said. The staff report and the exhibi t presented to the commission showed the same number of lots as previously approved under the earlier phasing plan.
Commissioner Mrs. Crawford moved to approve the final plat; Mr. Grumley seconded. The commission took a roll-call vote with Mrs. Crawford, Mr. Grumley, Mr. Soderman, Mayor Mary St. John and Mr. Long voting yes. The motion carried, recorded as five yeas.
The vote concluded the agenda item; there was no public comment on this item and no conditions recorded in the meeting minutes. With the commission’s approval, the plat was finalized as presented to the commission.
