Council members praised the project and nonprofits that helped fund it. Council member Maria Cecilia Cruz and others noted the project had been before council previously but lacked funding; the new donations enabled moving forward. Council approved the cooperative purchase unanimously.
Staff said they would coordinate installation and follow up with timing and logistics.
