On May 28 the Union County Public Schools Curriculum Committee voted 4-0 to send a package of digital resource renewals for the 2025-26 school year to the full school board.
Dr. Rogers told committee members, “We’ll start right off by seeking your approval for digital resource renewals,” and summarized the memo the committee received that lists the vendors and purposes. The renewals include Edmentum for credit recovery; Instructure, which provides the district’s Canvas and Learn platforms; and Curriculum Associates, the district’s universal screening system for reading and math.
Casey Rimmer, the district’s executive director for curriculum and instruction, was present for questions. Committee members did not ask substantive questions during the presentation, and the committee approved a motion to forward the renewals to the full board by a 4-0 vote.
The packet sent to the board will be considered by the full school board at a later meeting; the committee’s action was only to forward the items, not to finalize purchases or contract awards. The committee’s next meeting is scheduled for June 25 at 10 a.m. via Zoom.
