Wade presented extended-warranty options: a standard 1-year bumper-to-bumper warranty is included; other options discussed included multi-year warranties for the motor and transmission. He estimated that adding extended motor and transmission warranties would increase the project to roughly $402,520.46. Wade said the refurbished unit is a non-DEF Caterpillar engine, avoiding certain DEF-related maintenance issues.
Commissioners agreed to place the purchase on the consent agenda with a revised not-to-exceed amount of $402,520.46. No formal roll-call vote was recorded at the work session; staff placed the item on consent for the upcoming meeting.
