Sparta Area School District says facility plans advancing; core planning team to meet biweekly

Sam Cantelon told the board the district is modifying plans and holding more frequent user-group meetings. "Every other week is the formal, core planning team, but we have always seem to have 2 or 3 meetings a week, in regards to 1 situation or another," he said. Cantelon said a piping and plumbing scope report was expected later in the week and that South High School (SHS) will look different next year as portions of work are completed.
Staff said they have begun additional outreach to community members and noted enthusiasm at public meetings and informal discussions. No formal action or votes were taken; the report was informational and staff will return with further project milestones and schedules.
