Committee members reported that the custodial services RFP process produced three finalists; following interviews the district selected Pritchard Industries, which serves multiple New Jersey districts. The committee said leadership teams from the top three scoring firms were interviewed before selection.
The committee also discussed transportation contract renewals covering regular routes, student activities and specialized runs; officials said all renewals were executed at the consumer price index or below in accordance with statutory requirements. The agenda included cancellation of one quota route that is no longer needed and approval of additional field-trip transportation quotes for the 2024–25 school year.
Facilities updates in the finance report included finalizing summer projects such as replacing hallway carpeting with luxury vinyl tile at both high schools and replacing classroom carpeting in selected locations. The committee noted Village Elementary boilers are being disassembled in preparation for replacement. The finance report also said April 2025 had five fewer cafeteria service days than April 2024, which contributed to a decline in total meals served, though meals served to students qualifying for assistance increased.
Finance items numbered 1–67 were placed on the consent agenda and approved by roll call later in the meeting.
