Developers of the Collin Creek redevelopment gave a tour of the project’s 1,976-space underground parking garage and said work on above-ground elements will be next, a City of Plano news broadcast reported.
“The developers gave us a tour of the 1,976 space underground parking garage,” said Steve Stoler, Plano’s media relations director.
Stoler said the next steps for the site will focus on above-ground development including a park, streets and other infrastructure. Construction on two apartment buildings and the main mall building is expected to start later this year, he added.
The broadcast described the project as intended to “breathe new life into the historic mall,” but did not provide timelines for specific openings, budget figures, permitting status, or who the developers are. Residents seeking planning, permitting or construction timelines should contact the city’s planning or development services departments for details.
