At its May 28, 2025, meeting the Logansport Board of Public Works and Safety approved a slate of contracts and agreements under new business.
The board approved a translation agreement for Maximo Gutierrez. It approved Terry Rogers Auction Services for city auctions and an agreement designating Judy Masters as an Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) representative; the HPC will host a two-day workshop on historic-window restoration and requested reimbursement for lunch and breakfast for attendees. Aaron, speaking for the HPC item, said the workshop can host about a dozen participants and the reimbursement would come from the HPC budget.
The board approved Shepra Construction change order number 6 to add bumpers to a parking lot, a WLHM “Summer Fund” radio-marketing contract to promote July 4 safety and aquatic-center programming, and a five-year John Deere Financial lease-to-own agreement for a golf-course tractor. The board noted the John Deere agreement requires a first payment due at signing of about $10,000 and that the payments are expected to come from the golf budget. All motions passed on roll call with Board members voting yes; no dollar amounts for most contracts were discussed on the record.
