Code enforcement reports dozens of trash and grass notices, several cleanups ordered

Randy, Logansport’s code-enforcement officer, reported to the Board of Public Works and Safety on May 28, 2025, that staff had issued 32 notices for trash and 71 first notices for grass during the previous week.
Randy said 58 properties that were previously cited for trash were cleared and 38 properties remained pending; four property cleanups were ordered. He said the department sent two citations and two notices to appear last week and that two tagged vehicles remain pending removal by owners.
The board voted to accept the weekly code-enforcement report. No additional enforcement policy changes were proposed at the meeting.
