Board approves Jaime Martinez as Prosser School District transportation director

He drives, and, he's gonna start a program at CWU, it's called a transportation director program through CWU," a district presenter said, and later clarified the program runs across multiple summers and is a multi-year commitment.
Martinez spoke briefly to the board: "I'm a 10% committed, and I'm not afraid of hard work. And I'm ready to put that 10 to work," he said. District officials praised his responsiveness to parents and staff and signed off on the hire by voice vote after a motion and second.
The district said the hiring process included an interview panel with transportation staff and the maintenance director. The board did not attach additional conditions to the hire during the public meeting.
