Town of Speedway announces summer events, sponsorships at Plaza On Main

Tammy Smith, parts director for the Town of Speedway, announced that the town will host a series of summer events at Plaza On Main, located at the intersection of Fourteenth and Main, and said the full schedule is available on the town of Speedway’s website.

Smith said the town will update the Plaza On Main schedule in the Parks and Recreation section as additional activities are added. She named several performers and sponsors, saying Drew Lassley (Acoustic Country) will be sponsored by Speedway Parks and Recreation; Roller 3 will be presented by Live Music Indiana and sponsored by Speedway Parks and Recreation; Jimmy and Tracy will be presented by Live Music Indiana and sponsored by Speedway Parks and Recreation; John Stevens Junior will be sponsored by Sunbury Boutique and Body Beautiful and Lush Spa; and M Square Duo will be presented by Live Music Indiana and sponsored by Speedway Parks and Recreation.

“I’m here at our beautiful Plaza On Main located at the intersection of Fourteenth and Main,” Smith said. She invited residents to attend the plaza events “this summer” and noted that the town will continue adding items to the online schedule.

Smith encouraged local businesses and community members to sponsor plaza entertainment and provided a contact: “If you’re a local business or community member that would like to sponsor, some entertainment on our plaza, please reach out to me at parks@speedwayin.gov.”
