County staff said Northrop Grumman maintains a temporary shelter (described by staff as a tensile structure), a mobile office and storage sheds on a leased pad at the northeast end of the tarmac, and also leases about 1,500 square feet of terminal space under a separate lease. The renewal covers the lot and the terminal space for another year.
Supervisor Gomez asked about the frequency of Northrop Grumman’s use; staff said the company used BDI actively during past unmanned flight programs but could not confirm current weekly usage levels. The location is east and slightly north of existing hangars, staff said.
The work session discussion was informational; staff will place the item on the regular agenda for formal action.
