On higher education pathways, Jesse described Shelton Promise, the district’s agreement with Evergreen State College, which allows district graduates to attend Evergreen with tuition covered. "Shelton Promise is an agreement with Evergreen State College where students who graduate from the Shelton School District... can go to Evergreen State tuition free," he said, adding that Evergreen offers rolling admissions and the program includes sliding‑scale assistance for room and board.
