Jim said, based on his monitoring, the funding and program items that concern school districts for the coming school year appear to be solidly funded, though he cautioned that out-year funding projections are less certain. He also noted that many district advocates—including local legislators and district staff—have participated in testimony and meetings during the session.
Board members thanked AMSD and local representatives for advocacy. Jim said he expected substantial work to wrap up imminently but noted the timetable could require returning the legislature to session in the near term; he characterized his timetable as an expectation rather than a certainty.
