The committee was told the overall site was expected to be 39 acres but that recent surveys show the parcel the city believed it would buy is 27 acres; the Framingham portion alone is 11 acres and is "clean," Sarkis Sarkisian said. The discrepancy affects connectivity to the Upper Charles Trail because the Ashland-held portion contains the dike that links to Route 126.
