Township signs fireworks agreements, approves contractor and accepts OVI task force trailer donation

Staff presented an interagency agreement with Metroparks of Butler County to use park property for the All American Bash fireworks on July 5 and authorized the township administrator to make non‑substantive changes with law director approval. Trustees discussed why the fireworks would be staged on July 5 rather than July 4; staff said the festival spans July 4–5 and organizers expect a larger crowd on the weekend date.
The board also approved a contract with Razi Incorporated to present Fourth of July fireworks not to exceed $20,000 and authorized the administrator to execute the contract with law director approval.
Separately, trustees accepted donation of a trailer formerly used by the Butler County OVI task force. Staff said the trailer—originally purchased with grant funding—will be repurposed to store equipment for the township’s civil disturbance response unit because the coordinating agency received a state replacement.
All three items were moved and approved by roll call.
