Council to advance lot consolidation and split at Parkplex Apartments on Brook Park Road

Brook Park’s planning committee advanced a lot‑consolidation and lot‑split application for land at 14011 Brook Park Road, associated with Parkplex Apartments, and directed staff to prepare legislation for council consideration on May 20.
Planning materials show the proposal would consolidate two existing parcels (ending in 002 and 004) and then subdivide the consolidated property into three new parcels labeled A, B and C. In the packet the mayor described Parcel A as approximately 0.8 acres at the corner of Brook Park Road and West 140th Street; Parcel B as about 0.5032 acres (including the Marathon gas station parcel); and Parcel C as approximately 3.3962 acres.
Councilman Schreier said the revised application corrects an earlier version that had not been filed and moved to have the appropriate legislation drawn up for placement on the May 20 council meeting agenda. The motion was seconded and the clerk called the roll; the motion passed on a unanimous vote as recorded in the roll call.
The planning commission recommendation and the packet diagrams showing parcel dimensions were provided to council. The council’s action at this meeting was procedural (to have legislation prepared and scheduled); any final approvals, zoning checks and recording will occur when the ordinance returns for formal passage.
