The Redmond City Council approved a contract not to exceed $500,000 with We Be Done Inc., doing business as Abbis Pump Service (referred to in the meeting as ABBIS), for maintenance and repair services for city wells and pumps. Travis Robbins, water division manager, said the contract covers pump and motor rehabilitation, vibration testing and evaluation, on-call emergency services, technical assistance on well and pump station design, evaluation of well and booster performance, and removal and installation of large deep-well pumps.
Robbins told council the contract would be similar to prior agreements and initially cover up to three years with the ability to extend for two additional years; staff requested authorization for a five-year potential term and an amount not to exceed $500,000. Council moved, seconded and approved the contract by voice vote.
Outcome: Contract approved; city manager authorized to sign. Staff will continue to use Abbis for well and pump services under the approved limits.
