Residents flag safety concerns at Bridge 207; RPC notes state backlog may delay repairs until 2030

Staff warned that the state has told the RPC the list of bridge projects currently scheduled will not be completed until about 2030 and that the state is not accepting new additions to the scheduled bridge projects at this time. "The bad news that's wrong is that the state has told Kyle that all the projects, aiming, and bridges that are in the list for the state to complete will take until 2030 to do," a staff member said.
Commissioners discussed contacting state representatives and following up with the municipality and state maintenance staff. No formal motion or funding commitment was made at the meeting; staff were asked to follow up with contact information and next steps for residents and select boards.
