The Board of Trustees opened a public hearing on Local Law No. 4, an amendment to Chapter 151 of the Village Code, and voted to keep the hearing open pending receipt of the county’s review comments.
Mayor Huber noted the law had been previously adopted with subsequent tweaks expected and described the purpose of the hearing as receiving further comments. The mayor told the board the local law had been submitted to the county for its review under the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) or similar county review process and that the county’s comments were pending. The mayor recommended leaving the hearing open and placing the item on the next meeting agenda after the county’s response.
Trustees motioned to keep the public hearing open until after the county returns its comments; the motion carried by voice vote. No substantive amendments to the draft law were recorded in the meeting minutes during the Jan. 8 session.
Ending: The public hearing will remain open; the board will revisit Local Law No. 4 once the county’s review is received.
