Board to consider adoption of Illustrative Mathematics for middle school math; preview period set before June 10

Assistant or curriculum staff (identified in the record as Miss Janicek) said the elementary grades already use Illustrative Mathematics and that middle-school teachers had reviewed research-based textbooks throughout the year and selected this program as the best fit. She said the proposed textbook materials will be available in the district office front office for public review ahead of a June 10 action item.
No vote was taken at the May 27 meeting; the board will consider the formal adoption at its June 10 meeting after the public preview period.
