The Borough of Ramsey Mayor and Council on Jan. 6, 2025, formally recognized Deputy Clerk Sherry Richards, who will retire in February after 21 years of service to the borough.

Mayor Dillon presented Richards with a commemorative clock and council members offered remarks thanking her for long service at Borough Hall. A council member noted Richards is “one of the first faces” residents see and praised her friendliness; another speaker said Richards and her husband, Steve, who recently retired, will have more time for travel and family. Richards said she will miss borough staff and residents.

The remarks were ceremonial and no formal action or vote was required. The council moved from the recognition to other business and then adjourned the meeting.
