Commission appoints Randy Jenkins, names industrial-board member and approves four notaries

Hickman County’s legislative body filled an upcoming vacancy, named an industrial-board representative and approved four notaries during its May 27 meeting.

The chair announced the appointment of Randy Jenkins to fill a vacancy that will occur on July 1 for the county position described in the meeting record as “accessory of property.” Commissioners moved to close nominations and adopted the appointment by roll-call vote: 12 yes, 2 absent. In other confirmations, the commission approved four notaries of public: Angie Mangrum Fraser, Mary Lee Ann Parrish, Christina Lee Phelan and Susan Theresa Rosavi. The motion to approve the notaries passed by roll call, 12 yes, 2 absent.

The commission also approved the appointment of Wesley Whitaker to the industrial board representing the Sixth District. The full body approved the appointment by voice vote after a motion and second were made; the roll calls later recorded approval by the body.
