Human Resources staff Emily Keller presented the item. "I just have 1 thing today. It's a promotion. We will be promoting Ed White to animal control director. This will be effective on 06/01/2025, and his cell phone stipend will be changing to $100 monthly," Keller said.
A motion to approve the promotion was made and seconded and the board approved it by voice vote. Earlier in the meeting the board voted to approve the minutes of a prior meeting and subsequently approved the presented claims, both by voice votes during the same session.
The meeting opened with a roll call in the mayor's absence; Mayor Emmick was noted as absent. Board members present included Karen Grishas and Tom Lewis. The session was brief and included no other substantive items on the public agenda.
The board did not reference any statutes, ordinances, or formal policy documents during the promotion item, and no additional conditions or follow-up assignments were made on the record.
